Biomechanical examination
Anamnesis interview = conversation in which you explain what is going on. A lot of information is already being gathered here.
Testing: Joint mobility, muscle strength, stability, and balance are tested.
Movement analyse: step and/or gait analysis; here I can see more specifically in which phase something is going wrong.
Schoe advice: the shoes are also examined. Because even this can be a cause or part of the problem.
Review findings
What is it ?
During the biomechanical examination, I look for the cause of your problem. I do this using specific tests and an extensive gait and/or walking analysis. In this way, I determine exactly where things are going wrong. Based on this, we can draw a conclusion to determine which treatment is right for you. If necessary, you will be referred to the appropriate specialist.
For who ?
For every age group, from a problem to a check-up or a question.
From athletes to children, from middle-aged people to seniors, from diabetics to rheumatism patients, people with foot problems or complaints regarding the ankle, knee, hip, back, neck...
Conduct of research
Our treatments
Based on various tests and movement analysis, both the left and right feet are individually examined and adjusted. We adjust the foot by assessing its specific needs, a full 3D scan of the foot is taken, and we design your insole based on this.
Many problems in adults can also be traced back to childhood. It is advantageous to start orthotic therapy in children early on if necessary.
Ideally, children should undergo a biomechanical screening at the age of 6 to 7. At that time, the child's foot is still in full development, there is still a lot of cartilage present, and the growth plates have not yet closed. This ensures that, if necessary, we can still have a significant influence on the position of the joints.
Additionally, you can come to us with questions about problems and concerns. More than anyone else, the rules regarding wearing the right shoes apply here as well.

Podiatric insoles : 3D-scan
Insoles for children
I specifically chose to work with BORGinsole for Tarsus. What is a BORGinsole?
What is a BORGinsole?
BORGinsole insoles are a type of insoles. Insoles are produced from Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA). EVA is characterized by being very lightweight. This is combined with high strength and durability.
BORGinsole high-tech podiatric functional insoles keep your body in balance and provide customized guidance. They are custom-made following a thorough foot analysis and a check-up of your entire musculoskeletal system. Based on a 3D scan, your podiatrist designs unique intelligent insoles that help you navigate life more successfully. Ideal for athletes, young children, and people with foot problems.
The insoles can be washed in a washing machine, which makes maintenance easier.

It is advisable to have your podiatric insoles checked annually to extend their lifespan. We inspect the insole to see if it is still functioning adequately and make adjustments if necessary. The insoles usually need to be replaced after 2 to 3 years.

BORGinsole
The check-up for athletes by a podiatrist focuses on optimizing foot function, injury prevention, and performance improvement. You can also come in for a preventive screening!
Choosing the right footwear is very important, as our feet carry our entire body. The wrong shoe offers little to no support and can, in turn, cause foot problems.
I will provide you with the necessary information and tips regarding the correct shoe and how to recognize it. This applies to children's shoes as well as adult shoes of all ages. Please bring several pairs of shoes with you to the examination.
